Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 hits Delhi and Areas of North India


NEW DELHI: Solid quake quakes were felt in Delhi-NCR and different pieces of north area at 2:50 pm

The seismic tremor of size 6.2 occured at a profundity of 10 km.

The focal point of the tremor was situated at 29.39 degrees north on the scope and 81.23 degrees east on the longitude in Nepal, the Public Place for Seismology said.

The seismic tremor was felt in Delhi and different pieces of the Public Capital Area (NCR). Delhi-NCR inhabitants detailed solid quakes following the subsequent seismic tremor and emptied their workplaces and elevated structures.

"We hope you all are safe. Please come out of your buildings to a safe spot, but do not panic. DO NOT USE ELEVATORS! For any emergency help, dial 112," Delhi Police said in a statement.

Additionally, tremors were felt in Lucknow, Hapur, and Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, according to reports. Portions of Uttarakhand likewise experienced quakes following the consecutive tremors in Nepal.
