Ayodhya 2.0: A Temple Town Transformed
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit, several groundbreaking projects worth over Rs 11,100 crore will be inaugurated and the foundations laid for world-class infrastructure and civic facilities in Ayodhya.
Phase 1 of Ayodhya Airport was built at a cost of more than Rs 1,450 crore. The 6,500 square meter terminal building can accommodate over 10 lakh travelers a year. The exterior of the structure echoes the grand architectural design of the soon-to-be Shri Ram Mandir, while the interior is decorated with regional artwork that illustrates Bhagwan Shri Ram's life. With sustainable features like solar power, rainwater harvesting, LED lighting, and insulated roofing, the Airport hopes to achieve a GRIHA 5-star rating, which would mean better regional connectivity and a boost to employment, business, and tourism.
Phase I of the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station is a state-of-the-art, three-story building that was created at a cost above Rs 240 crore. It features a variety of amenities, shops, escalators, elevators, and food plazas to provide sustainability and accessibility.
The PM's itinerary also includes the launch of the Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, which will showcase improved passenger facilities and strengthened rail systems. With initiatives like the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line, the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project sections, and the electrification of the Malhaur-Daliganj railway segment, these advancements seek to strengthen rail connectivity.
The Prime Minister will open four enlarged and beautifully landscaped roads in Ayodhya, including Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Path, in an attempt to make the future Shri Ram Mandir easier to reach. Furthermore, numerous civic infrastructure initiatives
